Terms and Conditions for The Big Afternoon Show
Last Updated: August 2025

Welcome to The Big Afternoon Show, a live music-based radio program hosted by Darren Rogers (pseudonym). These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) outline the rules for radio stations syndicating the show and for listeners interacting with it. By accessing or participating in the show, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please do not use or broadcast the show.

1. About the Show

  • What It Is: The Big Afternoon Show is a live, music-based radio program airing Monday to Friday, exactly from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM GMT. It features music, up to three quizzes per show (subject to change), and occasional listener interaction.
  • Ownership: The show and all its content are wholly owned by Darren Perrin, operating as a sole trader in England and Wales.
  • No Guests (Usually): The show typically does not feature guests, but Darren reserves the right to include or exclude guests at his discretion.

2. Syndication for Radio Stations

  • Broadcast Rights: Radio stations may syndicate the show if they comply with these T&C and have a valid agreement with Darren. Stations must hold appropriate music licenses (e.g., PRS or PPL) to legally broadcast the show’s music in their country.
  • Stream Options:
    • Standard Stream: Includes station-specific jingles or IDs (2–5 per hour) and may include split voice tracks. Additional voice tracks incur extra costs.
    • Generic Stream: A lower-cost option with no station-specific features.
  • Restrictions:
    • Each station’s stream is limited to one listener (the station’s playout system) via a unique mount point.
    • No rebroadcasting, recording, or archiving of the show is allowed without Darren’s explicit written permission.
  • Technical Issues: Every effort is made to ensure a reliable stream. If technical issues prevent broadcasting, stations are responsible for filling the airtime gap. No refunds or credits are provided for downtime.
  • Cancellation:
    • Darren may terminate a station’s stream at any time for any reason, aiming to complete the current month’s service where possible.
    • Stations wishing to cancel must notify Darren via email, WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger and receive confirmation within 14 days. No refunds are available for partial months.

3. Listener Interaction

  • How to Participate: Listeners can interact with the show via WhatsApp, Facebook, phone calls, or other methods. All interactions (e.g., voice messages, texts) are pre-recorded before airing.
  • Content Use: If you submit content (e.g., voice messages or song requests), Darren may ask your permission to use it on the show or for promotion. By agreeing, you grant Darren the right to use your submission royalty-free.
  • Your Responsibility: You’re responsible for ensuring your submissions are appropriate and legal. Offensive or inappropriate content will not be used.

4. Content and Disclaimers

  • Music and Content: The show is music-focused and ad-free, with no sponsors, news, or current affairs (though Darren may add these at his discretion). All music is selected with care to avoid profanity, but rare mistakes may occur. If profanity is detected, the song is removed from the playlist.
  • No Age Restrictions: The show is suitable for listeners of all ages.
  • No Guarantees: While we strive for a clean and professional broadcast, we’re not liable for occasional errors or technical issues.

5. Data and Privacy

  • No Data Collection: We do not collect or store listener data (e.g., names, emails, or IP addresses). All messages received are deleted weekly, typically on Sundays.
  • Your Privacy: If you interact with the show, only the content you explicitly share (e.g., voice messages) may be used, with your permission.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All show content, including music selections, quizzes, jingles, and voice tracks, is owned by Darren Perrin. Stations and listeners may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the show without written permission.

7. Liability

  • Our Limits: Darren is not liable for any damages arising from the show, including technical issues, content errors, or listener submissions. Stations and listeners use the show at their own risk.
  • Station Responsibilities: Stations are responsible for complying with their country’s broadcasting laws and securing necessary licenses.

8. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these T&C at any time. Changes will be posted on our website ([insert website URL, if applicable]) and, where possible, communicated via email to stations. Continued use of the show after changes means you accept the new terms.

9. Contact Us

  • Reach out via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or email: [insert contact details]. We’ll do our best to respond promptly.

10. Governing Law

  • These T&C are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
